Private flamenco performance in Seville

Day 4

A magical private performance...

Flamenco is a musical art form that draws upon the folkloric traditions of southern Spain, especially of the Andalusian region, along with influences from the Gypsy or gitano cultures. Although often thought of primarily as a dance style, flamenco is actually expressed through several musical forms, the foremost of which are toque (guitar), cante (singing), and baile (dance). Thought to have first appeared in the 18th century in Spain, and now popular all over the world, flamenco comprises more than 50 different styles, known as palos, all with distinct characteristics. But all you really need to know before you enjoy a private flamenco performance in Seville is that flamenco embodies the Spanish people’s legendary passion for life.

Seville by horse-drawn carriage

Explore Seville by horse-drawn carriage...

Experience a panorama of sights in Seville in a manner befitting the city’s historic ambiance – via horse-drawn carriage – as you ride through Maria Luisa Park, the city’s largest, which was created for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. Converted from what were once the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo, the park is essentially a botanical garden crisscrossed by grand boulevards and accented with Moorish-styled pavilions, tiled fountains, ponds, several museums and many monuments and sculptures. You’re in for a delightful carriage ride through a truly beautiful place.

Guided tour of Madrid's Museo del Prado

Day 7

Explore one of the world's greatest museums – Madrid's Museo del Prado – with an expert guide

Created by King Ferdinand VII as the Royal Museum of Paintings and Sculptures to promote Spanish art and display works in the collection of the Spanish Crown, what we know today as the Museo del Prado opened its doors in 1819. With a main building constructed in 1785 and a series of extensions added over the years – including one scheduled to open as the museum celebrates its 200th anniversary in 2019 – the Museo del Prado today ranks among the most visited art museums in the world, displaying one of the finest collections of European art anywhere, including works by Goya, Velázquez, El Greco, Bosch, Rubens, Titian and others. With Tauck, you’ll explore this extraordinary museum accompanied by an art expert.

The local tour guides were excellent... the hotels were outstanding, well situated in the cities which allowed for easy, independent excursions.

Small Group Departures

Our small group departures, averaging just 24 guests, are designed for travelers who want more time to experience each destination up close and personally. One of the benefits of small group travel is the personalized service and attention you’ll enjoy. Small groups enable our Tauck Directors to spend more time in the places you explore with more opportunities to connect with them. Smaller groups foster camaraderie and lasting friendships among like-minded travelers; you'll engage more closely with local experts and enjoy enhanced insider access, ease of travel and freedom to linger longer.

Solo Traveler Savings

Traveling solo doesn't mean traveling alone – with Tauck, it means camaraderie on a journey with like-minded travelers who share similar interests, enjoying the spirit of travel that makes exploring the world a necessary part of life – and sharing the special travel experiences found on Tauck’s guided land trips and cruises that create lifetime memories. For 90+ years, solo travelers have found a special "travel" home with Tauck in destinations the world over – and we’re offering solo travelers an additional reason to travel with Tauck – special Solo Traveler Savings on select departures.

Before You Go

Required

Travel Documents, Booking and Deposits, and more

No matter where your destination may be, you should bring identification with you; a valid passport is always an appropriate form of identification. Contact your booking agent for information about all necessary documents required for your journey, such as passport and visa information or documentation required for transportation security measures.

Important Information

Health and Activity

You'll find Activity and Pace Levels on all of our trips to give you a better idea of physical activity level – higher numbers mean a more active journey. To fully enjoy most journeys, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances; some of the most memorable sightseeing can only be accomplished on foot and may include unpaved and uneven surfaces. Please consult your physician for pre-departure health advice.

Protect Your Travel Investment

Deposit Protection Plan

Deposit Protection Plan – Tauck provides a “Deposit Protection Plan” at a cost of AUD $75 per person per tour or cruise. The cost is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid at the time of booking with your deposit. It only applies when you cancel your tour or cruise prior to final payment date. The deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties in relation to air, rail travel, hotels, transfer or applicable cruise cabins. When booking airfares through Tauck (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. We will only credit the remainder of deposit to a future tour or cruise booking if you book within 24 months of cancellation of the original Tauck tour or cruise. This offer expires after the 24 months. We will only credit the remainder of the deposit to a future tour or cruise booking Balance Due and it can’t be used as a credit for the initial deposit of a future tour or cruise booking. The Tauck “Deposit Protection Plan” only covers a Tauck tour or cruise and it does not replace Travel Insurance, which we recommend at the time of booking.
