Tauck Nashville Country Music Event

Nashville Event

Tour Overview

New for 2020 – The Tauck Nashville Country Music Event debuts September 9 – 13, 2020. Spend five days basking in the sounds, personalities, and the great big heart of country music during our Event based on the newest Ken Burns film, debuting September 2019. Stay four nights in the center of the music world at the Hilton Nashville Downtown, the starting point for our daily small group sightseeing tracks – The Roots of Country, The Evolution of Country, and Music City.

At the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Museum of Acoustic Instruments, experience early 20th-century recordings of Appalachian fiddlers, the Carter Family Singers, western swing and bluegrass, the soundtracks of 1930s cowboy films, and honky-tonk. Explore how country music has changed over the decades even as it remains central to all generations today on a walking tour of historic Nashville, Ryman Auditorium, and the Patsy Cline Museum – and at a Grand Ole Opry performance. Before Nashville was dubbed “Music City,” it was known as the “Athens of the South,” renowned for its cultural and academic life fostering creative expression. The city became the music capital of America, where musical artists of every kind found a home; the sounds of classical, jazz, pop, sacred music, among many genres, continue to fill the air. On a private tour of RCA Studio B, enter a special place where Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and other musical giants recorded hits.

Private experiences include a performance by Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame members at the Bluebird Café… a performance by Chelsea Crowell who shares stories about her family, grandparents Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash, and parents Rosanne Cash and Rodney Crowell… a Tauck Exclusive private viewing of a live studio recording session of up-and-coming recording artists… a gala evening at the Country Music Hall of Fame just for Tauck guests with a performance by Lula Wiles and dinner in the Hall of Fame Conservatory, followed by a private performance in the Ford Theatre by multi-Grammy Award winner Rodney Crowell… a panel discussion with legendary Nashville artists moderated by filmmaker Dayton Duncan, Ken Burns’s long-time writing partner… and a private lecture by Doug Green, aka “Ranger Doug,” a performer and “Singing Cowboys” expert.
