Cape Town by helicopter

Helicopter flightseeing excursion over Cape Town

Nestled between the mountains and the sea at the tip of the African continent – and home to such stunning geographical features as Table Mountain, Chapman’s Peak and the Twelve Apostles – there are few cities on Earth with a natural setting as beautiful as that of Cape Town, South Africa. And the best way to take it all in is our helicopter flightseeing excursion along the magnificent Cape Peninsula.

Walking safari near Kruger National Park

A walk with the animals outside Kruger National Park

Your Wildlife Odyssey takes the phrase “a walk in the park” to another level when you join our safari guides on a “walking safari” in a private reserve adjacent to South Africa’s Kruger National Park. You’ll literally follow in the footsteps of the region’s remarkable wildlife as your expert guide leads the way through the bush, sharing tracking tips and insights on the game, large and small, that has gone before you on the trail. It’s an African wildlife experience you’ll never forget!

Motorboat safari in Chobe National Park

Private motorboat safari on the Zambezi River in Botswana

During your stay at Chobe Lodge in Botswana’s Chobe National Park, we invite you to embark on yet another amazing African adventure with Tauck. Keep your eyes peeled for watering elephants, hippos, impala, antelopes and more – along with the crocodiles and other predators that lie in wait for them – on a private “motorboat safari” aboard a skimmer boat on the Zambezi River. It's an experience you just don’t have every day...

What you need to know

Before You Go

Travel Documents, Booking and Deposits, and more

No matter where your destination may be, you should bring identification with you; a valid passport is always an appropriate form of identification. Contact your booking agent for information about all necessary documents required for your journey, such as passport and visa information or documentation required for transportation security measures.

Important Information

Health and Activity

You'll find Activity and Pace Levels on all of our trips to give you a better idea of physical activity level – higher numbers mean a more active journey. To fully enjoy most journeys, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances; some of the most memorable sightseeing can only be accomplished on foot and may include unpaved and uneven surfaces. Please consult your physician for pre-departure health advice.

Protect Your Travel Investment

Deposit Protection Plan

Deposit Protection Plan – Tauck provides a “Deposit Protection Plan” at a cost of AUD $75 per person per tour or cruise. The cost is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid at the time of booking with your deposit. It only applies when you cancel your tour or cruise prior to final payment date. The deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties in relation to air, rail travel, hotels, transfer or applicable cruise cabins. When booking airfares through Tauck (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. We will only credit the remainder of deposit to a future tour or cruise booking if you book within 24 months of cancellation of the original Tauck tour or cruise. This offer expires after the 24 months. We will only credit the remainder of the deposit to a future tour or cruise booking Balance Due and it can’t be used as a credit for the initial deposit of a future tour or cruise booking. The Tauck “Deposit Protection Plan” only covers a Tauck tour or cruise and it does not replace Travel Insurance, which we recommend at the time of booking.
