Experiences of a lifetime

Australia-only for 11 days... traveling by private charter... brings exclusive travel experiences in the desert Outback, tropical rainforest and worlds favorite cosmopolitan cities...

Spend two nights in Melbourne at a top hotel in the heart of the Victorian city where guided sightseeing offers an insider's perspective on Melbourne life and landmark sights. Fly to Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the desert Outback, steeped in Aboriginal culture, and spend three nights at a beachfront resort in Queensland featuring a cruise to Agincourt Reef in the Great Barrier Reef, a rainforest gondola ride and a "crocodile" tour. On your final four nights in Sydney you'll tour the iconic Sydney Opera House, take a private Sydney Harbour luncheon cruise, go on a "Foodie Tour" of the city's culinary highlights and more. Tasting your way through Sydney

Day 9

A "Foodie Tour" sampling some of Sydney's coolest eats

A knowledgeable local guide leads the way on a "Taste of Sydney" foodie tour that celebrates the multicultural heritage of the city and its gastronomic legacy – including seafood at a fish market; meat pie tasting (try their house specialty, Tiger Pie) at Harry’s famous pie cart; a craft beer tasting at a 100-year-old pub; a sweet sampling of gelato and more.

Ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Day 4

Soaring over Queensland's treetops

Embark on a journey of discovery over and deep into the world’s oldest surviving tropical rainforest aboard the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway near Cairns. The Skyrail experience provides a truly unique perspective of Australia’s World Heritage-listed tropical rainforest - immersing you in the sights, sounds, and tranquility of one of the most botanically fascinating areas on Earth. The Skyrail’s purpose-built gondolas offer a birds-eye view of this living natural wonder… whose prehistoric ancestry is some 60 million years older than the Amazon!

Itinerary is well thought out & covers many of the tourist highlights of Australia. City tours of Melbourne & Sydney were excellent.

Tauck Traveler Review

Cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef

Day 5

Aquatic fun at the Agincourt Reef

A high-tech catamaran whisks you out to the Outer Great Barrier Reef – to the Agincourt Reef, at the very edge of Australia's Continental Shelf, to be exact – where you'll explore and enjoy this remarkable natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. Swim or snorkel over vast coral gardens, seeing (and swimming with, if you choose to) thousands of colorful fish.

Before You Go

Required

Travel Documents, Booking and Deposits, and more

No matter where your destination may be, you should bring identification with you; a valid passport is always an appropriate form of identification. Contact your booking agent for information about all necessary documents required for your journey, such as passport and visa information or documentation required for transportation security measures.

Important Information

Health and Activity

You'll find Activity and Pace Levels on all of our trips to give you a better idea of physical activity level – higher numbers mean a more active journey. To fully enjoy most journeys, you should be in good health and able to walk reasonable distances; some of the most memorable sightseeing can only be accomplished on foot and may include unpaved and uneven surfaces. Please consult your physician for pre-departure health advice.

Protect Your Travel Investment

Deposit Protection Plan

Deposit Protection Plan – Tauck provides a “Deposit Protection Plan” at a cost of AUD $75 per person per tour or cruise. The cost is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid at the time of booking with your deposit. It only applies when you cancel your tour or cruise prior to final payment date. The deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties in relation to air, rail travel, hotels, transfer or applicable cruise cabins. When booking airfares through Tauck (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. We will only credit the remainder of deposit to a future tour or cruise booking if you book within 24 months of cancellation of the original Tauck tour or cruise. This offer expires after the 24 months. We will only credit the remainder of the deposit to a future tour or cruise booking Balance Due and it can’t be used as a credit for the initial deposit of a future tour or cruise booking. The Tauck “Deposit Protection Plan” only covers a Tauck tour or cruise and it does not replace Travel Insurance, which we recommend at the time of booking.
