Travel Updates

Travel Updates will keep you informed on the operating status of tours or cruises by destination, and provide up-to-date information on our travel policies.

Tour & Cruise Status by Destination

We continue to make every effort to provide the most up-to-date information on the status of your tour or cruise. However, please know that as we share the below updates, we recognize there are events outside our control that we cannot predict or prevent. While access to certain destinations and itinerary elements may evolve over time, what won't change is our commitment to do everything possible to deliver the quality experience and peace of mind you expect when traveling with Tauck. We hope you share a spirit of adventure with us.

ISRAEL

(January 4, 2024) As reported in the media, the tragic conflict in Israel and Gaza continues. As a result of the on-going hostilities in the region, Tauck has made the difficult decision to cancel all Israel and Jordan and Jerusalem, The Red Sea & Petra tours through May 2024.

Our Global Response Team and colleagues in Worldwide Operations continue to actively monitor all events and news on an on-going basis, consulting with our vast network of outside agencies, supplier partners, and other industry contacts to stay abreast of circumstances and unfolding events in all areas where we operate. As always, the health and wellbeing of our guests, employees, and partners are our highest priorities.

Travel Policy Updates For Our Guests

Health & Safety Policy for 2024

For 2024 tours and cruises, Tauck has no remaining Covid requirements. There is no vaccination requirement or travel pledge to be signed. This 2024 policy could change if there is a surge in infection rates or other factors that could impact the safety of our guests and employees.

Final Payment & Tour Cancellation Policy

2022 FINAL PAYMENT

For all land tours, final payment is due 60 days before trip departure and 120 days for river cruises, small ship cruises and rail journeys.

Please note: Final payment for Life on the Mississippi and Grand Alaska is 120 days before trip departure.

2022 TOUR CANCELLATION POLICY

If you have to cancel your trip, regardless of reason, cancellation of confirmed bookings results in costly penalties and fees from hotels, ship operators and other travel providers. Applicable fees are tour specific and dependent on the timing before your trip's departure. Please refer to your specific tour or to the applicable General Information page for details: https://www.tauck.com/guest-travel/general-information

Deposit Protection Plan – Tauck provides a "Deposit Protection Plan" at a cost of AUD $75 per person per tour or cruise. The cost is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid at the time of booking with your deposit. It only applies when you cancel your tour or cruise prior to final payment date. The deposit held in credit will exclude fees imposed by third parties in relation to air, rail travel, hotels, transfer or applicable cruise cabins. When booking airfares through Tauck (including when taking advantage of a special offer that includes air travel), standard airline cancellation fees will apply. In some cases, airfares will be non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, these fees will be deducted from the deposit paid, and therefore the credit being held. We will only credit the remainder of deposit to a future tour or cruise booking if you book within 24 months of cancellation of the original Tauck tour or cruise. This offer expires after the 24 months. We will only credit the remainder of the deposit to a future tour or cruise booking Balance Due and it can't be used as a credit for the initial deposit of a future tour or cruise booking. The Tauck "Deposit Protection Plan" only covers a Tauck tour or cruise and it does not replace Travel Insurance, which we recommend at the time of booking.
